clicks+pops not 4.7

Postby eepz » Sat Mar 04, 2006 1:36 am

has anyone ever gotten this????

1) i have the rfx card but i have eos 4.61
2) i am not using the rfx card except for routing at this stage - in fact i turned all of it off and this still occurs

i am doing a new track, was working on stuff last night when all of a sudden i start hearing loud bumps and clicks in the sounds. totally random! its EXTREMELY frustrating. i have no idea whats going on with it. ive tried to narrow it down but it wont stay put....like sometimes it will be bumping on my bass channel and then it will move into my drum channel and start clicking full....i am at a loss. i have reloaded my 2 last banks and they dont do this, so i dont think the hardware is going, it seems to be within the bank

I also do not think its the samples as it clicks on completly different times, not at the start or end of them. i have tried changing the filters, i have tried changing the outs (it follows the sounds with the out i change them to) if i have the sounds very quiet the clicks occur still!!

sorry if im rambling ive been working on this past couple hours and im very upset

whats going on with this? anyone have any suggestions or encountered this at all? i did try to search about this put all the "outbursts" seem to concearn 4.7 and i have 4.61

here is a wav of the emu clicking

ok. thanks for the reply, ill try some other things when i can get back at it later tonight and see what works.

I wasnt exactly sure that was it though as the drums I had going also pop even when there is no bass going out (on a different sub out also) and they have a high pass filter on all of them so

just an update, only thing that seemed to help was change every filter to peak/shelf or set all of them to 20000hz....this seems to have cleared up all the pops, as ive been running a loop of sounds for about 10 min and if i change it back to lowpass they come back. this is annoying but i guess it works for now.

has anyone every encountered this before?

Just reduce the volume by 10-15 on everything in multi page and you'll be good to go or if you're running in +4 mode(Master---->i/o settings) set it to 0.
goodluck.
