could we maybe upload our emu/AKAI CDs as img file somewhere?
In addition to the standard library (which I almost never use) I have the fantastic Magnetica (Rhodes/Wurlitze/Hammond) in Emu format that I'm happy to share.

Not against me. I could join in with some sample-cd's bought from some german musicshop, and some of the emu standard cd's.

Right,

I have checked my web site but I only have 400Mo free... :???: That won't allow us to upload many CDs... (well, none actually).
Does anybody have more web space with ftp access we could use?
Another option would be peer to peer but that usually means everybody can access. I don't know if you can restrict access with something like LimeWire...
Any ideas welcome.
Otherwise, here are the CD images I could share:
Magnetica (emu)
Powered Nord (Nord Lead) Akai
Bass Legends (Akai)
Miroslav piano (Akai)
B3 Legends (Akai)
Keith Emmerson (Akai)
Old School Keyboard (Akai)
+ the whole EMU standards.

Akai and Emu CD's have been floating about as Torrents for quite a while now. I've been searching my old book marks desperately recently becasue there was one Torrent site that had loads of Emu formatted CD's on it - I had a feeling you had to be registered first, can anyone remember that site?

There's nothing to stop anyone here making their own Torrents though, I wonder what the copyright deal is with the free CD's that Emu gave out as that's all that anyone here would be sharing isn't it  There are a few Emu CD's that I was entitled to when I got my first EMU however I never chased it up because I didn't have a CD Rom drive then.

There are also loads of those free upload sites like http://rapidshare.de/ http://www.turboupload.com/ http://www.megaupload.com/ and ahem http://www.sexuploader.com. I think megaupload offers up to 250meg and sexuploader up to 500meg files. The others are less than 100 meg however if you own some file splitter software it would be easy to span an Emu CD across a few 100meg files.

Here is my shit:

Emulator Production Set - Made in 1996 by e-mu.
Never got around to test this one, since I got it with the e-synth, and don't have a cd-rom for it.

E-mu Systems Sound Library Cd Rom, WCC.. Green - Made in 1996 by e-mu.
Have not tested this one either,

E3X-Sound Library - World Percussion/Ensembles - By e-mu for the e3x, and works great with e4's. Lot's of interesting things like African Percussion and Jews Harp&Spoons.

E3X-Sound Library - E-mu classics - This includes all the proteuses, procussion and some standard things like a Kawaii 9?grand, Cp-70, wurlitzer, rhodes, dx7, b3, and some fabelous mellotron samples, with one sample per key.

E3X-Sound Library - Vintage - Everything from tone wheel organs and classic guitars, to jupiter, arp, moog, juno, oberheim and chapman stick.

E4-Studioline - By musicstore (someplace in Germany). This one is quite new, from 1998 actually, and contains 520 mb of samples from Roland analogue and digital synths, the nordlead, some korg in there, and some other interesting things. Never got around to try this one eiter. The presets are sorted in categorys like Synths, Basses, Keys, Voices, Pads Fx and more.

And last, an Ensoniq Studio Library "Michelangelo". I believe this one works with eos. Mady by musicstore in 1995. This is supposed to be a kinda like everything you need sample-cd. Includes everything from a grand piano to loops.

I need a scsi cd-rom.
