Loading which format to my sampler?

Postby drdreas » Thu May 25, 2006 5:56 pm

Hello dear Emu users, im wery glad that i found this dedicated site.
I have a E5000 ultra, actually bought it recently.
The problem is that i cant transfer my old samples to it, i have tried soundfont (both versions), akai s1000 format, Roland format from a roland formated disc, the only thing i can transfer to it is waw files.
I have formated the zip?s in fat 16 and even tried fat 32, i have done the upgrade of the os to 4.7.
Could someone help me out or just give me some ideas ?
Thanks for reading, and sorry for my terrible english.

Chicken systems Translator should help you out. It can convert all these formats to eos bank format. By what you've said some of your samples will even be translatable with the free version (always a bonus).

Thanks for the quick answer
I do have the awave program and thats what i used for converting, so if i understood this correctly: the eos can only read eos bank format?
Now i have to buy another program again

Your emu can also import AKAI S1000 sample format. Also the free version may do a lot for you. Infact in combination with Awave the free version may convert all of your samples to eos

After two nights of pain i solved the problem, what a relief.
I tried to burn akai s3000 files, and could not manage to read them in the old E64. When i tried to load into the E5000 it worked like a charm, so now im using the E5000 as a hardware translator for the E64.
This sampler sounds so great, i cant really beleive it after using kontakt software sampler among many hardware samplers as well i know that Emu has "the sound".
