some may already know this. but for those of you that don't...

if you take a sample of white noise, loop it, run it through a 2 pole lpf closed a little, just enought to get the shrillness out of the noise, and then add some q, perhaps 30 to 60, you will get a sound that kind of sounds like wind blowing on a stormy day.

now if you modulate the amplitude, and perhaps the q, using 4.7 or whatever os has the real time q control, mine doesn't do that, you could get a pretty good wind sample. cutting the amplitude and q would synth the decay in wind speed and the increase in loudness and slight increase in q would synth an increase in wind speed. at least that is the idea.

you could use this for an atmosphric type sound, maybe add to a pad patch, or something. kind of interesting....
