What do I need....

Postby sixtysixnorth » Fri Sep 15, 2006 12:02 pm

Hey All

I want to have some bread and butter sounds available in my E6400 Ultra when I turn it on, so that clients in the studio can use it as if it were a sound module (and so i don't have to load everything up for them!) Does this require Flash Ram? I would prefer to have my own sounds, rather than buy one of the Emu chips, but I don't know exactly what I need, or where to get it.

Any help appreciated

Mark

you can have a preset autoload on startup.

i think that would solve your problem?

Do you mean just one preset, or a bank? And how do I set this up? Is this the 'magic' preset function?

Ah, Autoload bank must be what you mean, and just what I need! Just when you think you know a bit of gear eh...but its those depths that make EOS so good.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction

The samples needs to loaded anyway, maybe you can do that automatic, I don't know, but what who whould be best for you is the e-synth card. 400 presets of everything you need and 16mb samples. I can dial up a preset and start recording 5 sec after my sampler is turned on.
