midi option output card not being recognised

The dang thing wont even acknowledge that i put it in there. Called emu and of course there is not type of help anymore. I asked the for the dang installation manual and they don't have any anymore. The card works in another emu i have the but the outputs on it are screwed so i don't want to use it. Otherwise i'd be fine, but epr wants 60 bucks just to tell me whats wrong plus shipping! It's gotta be something really simple, i know it works just can't get it to work. please help! thanx

cool! i sorted it. there is a dang chip that comes along with the midi option card called ebu rcvr right next to the I/O plug. you gotta switch that jammy and it's butter.
