Just bought an E6400 classic on ebay and have some questions

Postby darkrhetoric » Fri Sep 29, 2006 10:19 pm

I just bought a 6400 classic on ebay and i am unsure about a few things.

1st. I need to know if there is an internal hard drive of some sort.
When push the "disk" button it takes me to a menu with 1)floppy disk and 1) other icon named Quantum Maverick. <-- Is this the internal HD??
when i push info it says the following:
D1 Quantum Maverick540s
revision:0905 type: Hard disk Fs: E-mu l
Capacit: 1/64 1% Banks: 0/6400 0%

So does this mean I have a 540mb internal hd?

I this sounds like a stupid question but i just want to know its not the reminance of an previous external or something.

2nd.when i start up the e6400 it says the following:
EOSv4.62
64 channel card installed
effects installed
128 of sound memory installed

my question is, is this normal? Does this mean i have the efx optional upgrade installed?(i wouldnt think so) :???: :???:

You've got an internal harddrive, dunno the size, but 540mb sounds likely, and your os is the latest version, you got 128mb ram, which is max and you got the classic effects, which are basic things like reverb, distortion, flanger, phaser, and the stuff you would find on a medium priced effects machine. Regarding the 64 channel card, I belive that is either that got 64 notes polyphony, or that you've got the extra midi-card. Do you have two midi in's?
