Hello fellow Emu lovers,

Does anyone have any idea how to fix a button - the f4 & f6 buttons - on my Emu Ultra E4XT...?

Firstly, it doesn't 'click' as nicely as the other ones .. it kind of feels mushy when pressed ... and secondly, the result of its self-pressing is that any menu option that is associated with the button below it gets activated ... that unfortunately includes things like "undo" and "merge" .. merge being the worst offender, because i'll sometimes go to "load" something and then it instantly clicks "merge" by itself.

Can anyone help? As my aging E4XT Ultra gets older, i worry about its health. I was the second person in Australia to own one after a famous musician, so I have had mine since the Ultra series inception, and refuse to let it die.

Dunno about a fix but E-MU buttons suck ass, mine does this as well. They seem to go pretty quickly, mine went funky after a year or so. If you have the keyboard controller option or can get a SCSI card and use the EOS Link CD then you can use your computer to control the panel and not worry about the buttons
