Option 6311 for E6400

Postby sturoc » Mon Dec 25, 2006 9:16 pm

Looking for opinions on this f/x card for the E6400 .
Heard that some things about it having some issues. Is it production quality?
Any thoughts?

Hmm... 6311... I'm going to assume that's the non-RFX f/x card (as I don't actually have documentation for that one in my library). The RFX32 card was upgrade 6864, I think.

This (6311) is the add-on F/X card for the e6400-Classic. Unlike the E4XT, the e6400 didn't come with F/X as standard, hence the add on board. It's standard on the Ultra models.

There are no issues that I know of with this card... unlike the RFX32 card, which works fine in EOS 4.62, but has serious issues with EOS 4.7

I like it. Sure, you'll get a lot farther with an outboard, dedicated effects unit, but it's quite usefull for adding a little colour to your sounds.

If it's the card I think it is, nope, I've never had any issues with sound quality...

Just remember, it's only useful on the Classic models...

I believe this is built in on my e-synth, and yes, it's only useful as a little colour-adder, but it is nice to have if you need some distortion on you rhodes and such.

If you are talking about the FX card for the e6400 classic, there are no RFX type issues with it.

Cheers,
