Hello Everyone,

If you were to make a list of your all-time favorite sample libraries, which ones would you put on it? I am not very familiar with stuff outside of the CDs that came bundled with E-mu samplers and am looking to expand my sonic palette a bit. I am interested in instrumentation for all genres. Let's get this started and thanks in advance for your input!

You should definitely add Wizoo's Magnetica on your list.
It is a superb collection of Rhodes, Wurli, Clavinet and B3 for the EMU.
If you're into these sort of sounds, then it's a must have! (IMHO)

i picked it up recently - a gem

I just love the EIIIx CD-ROM collection, particularly the "E-mu Classics" CD. Old fashioned, I know :-)

I've been having great fun with the "Platinum Phatt" CDs (2 discs). It was part of the Emulator Library released after the e4's... volume 8, I think it was.

(although, if I'm to be completely honest, I don't really know because I don't have the original -- and very hard to find -- CDs... bought that compilation DVD of CD images from the guy on eBay)

Second on the list would have to be the Analog Odyssey disc from the ESI 4000 series...

i hate plugging my own stuff,but we`ve had a wide variety of emu files compiled on dvd ram in australia from all over;about 3gb worth that we call cyberstudio.we sell it here for $50us.you must have a scsi dvd ram drive to read the cartridges though. we are traxzone studios.

Got any..uhh....samples we could hear?

how would i upload sounds into this forum?i could probably only upload a single preset as we have many instrument banks(pianos,basses,brass,synth,guitar,etc.)and sample loops of drums,vocals & guitar which are quite large ; eg. one of the piano banks is 64mb.even our analogue collection is about 3mb.any ideas on what format this would take to accomplish ? good idea though.

Post a track made with a wide variety of sounds exclusively from your library, which will illustrate the quality of the sound design. Just upload it somewhere that you can post a link to here, there's no way to upload a sound directly into the forum.

Is it anything like Techno Synth or worth getting?

I've been searching for good Fender Rhodes for years? until I came across that "Wizoo Magnetica" CD-Rom for my E6400U? and it's definitely tha bomb! Less variety but much more quality than most of the sampling cd's out there!
