some hard drive questions

Postby process » Wed Aug 06, 2003 8:15 pm

how do i tell how many amps a hard drive has?
whats EIDE?
what hard drives do you use? and how much? maybe from where?

thanks in advance. ive been wanting to kill my emu , but i believe its a problem it has communicating with my Zip drive via scsi. so i hear going for the internal IDE is pretty stable.

thanks again

don't worry about amp rating and blah blah. just about any ide drive on the market will be suffice. Just get a half decent size (about 40gb is as small as you'll get) and be sure to get it 7,200 rpm. besides that you are all good.

there are a lot of great drives out there each will be pretty cheap to purchase as well.

Maxtor has some really nice ones as does Western Digital, Seagate etc.
