FATAL ERROR! is this a sad day in the life of my e4x?

HI has any one had the message FATAL ERROR Ftrap then lots of numbers & letters after it? it occasionally manages to fully boot up then as soon as you go to do something it reads "FATAL ERROR Ftrap" I have tried it with the memory in & out, & the drives in & out and so on... but its just not avin it, its a 1996 E4X & i love it, oh and of course I tried to put the Digi I/O out of it into my friends E6400 ultra to see if it would work as E6400 ultras are quite cheep on ebay, but of course its different. I was wondering if anyone else has had this message & does FATAL mean FATAL? & is it worth repairing cheers Damon. ps. sometimes it wont even boot up, it starts to then it reads "FATAL ERROR Address error" then lot of numbers & letters???

You could try re-installing the OS from floppy if it will let you.

Might be worth a try.

My old E-5000 used to do this. It would only do it after being on for a while though. It seemed like it was mostly because the flash would get full after working on big banks. Hope you get it sorted...
