Everytime I load a sound in the emu. The main out has an effect (reverb it sounds like) on it. How the hell do I disable it so it would be a dry singnal? I keep turning it to one of the sub mixes but I'm tired of doing that.

Check out the master fx, you'll find it in a menu somewhere.

From what I read, the only fix seems to disable all of the effects in the master menu, but even when you do that, you still hear an effect. It's the voice output in multimide.

Any ideas?

From the Master block, select FX>Setup, and set "Effects Engine:" to "Bypass".

It's always worked for me to completely kill the effects, regardless of sub-out send settings.
