SCSI problems in Windows 98

Postby wrecker13 » Mon Aug 11, 2003 4:54 am

I've read everything there is to read about SCSI/EMU in this forum and I'm still having trouble. I'm runnning Windows 98 and have an Adaptec 2906. Everyhting is terminated, the ID's are set. When I boot up the EMU and then the PC I do get the "unknown device" message but only the first time. When I try to repeat the process I don't get the message again-the computer just boots up like normal. So maybe I'm doing the process wrong. To get the 8 yellow question marks are you supposed to reboot everything 8 times-that's what I've been doing. The only thing I can think of is that the Hardware Wizard in 98 doesn't have the option to select "Don't promt me again to install this software". I don't know, does anybody have any ideas.
