Thanks man,
This is what i am thinking of trying to do is, or rather, this is the end result i would like to acheive :-
1 - To have my Nord connected to MIDI A In on the EMU (so transmitting on channels 1 thru 16).
2 - To have a seperate controller keyboard connected to MIDI B In on the EMU (so transmitting on channels 17 thru 32).
My goal is to have a choice of two worlds here :-
1 - To have the Nord sounds layered with the EMU sounds (ie. played/controled via the Nord keyboard only). So transmitting on Midi Channels 1-16.
2 - To be able to play/control the sounds on the EMU from a (dummy) controler keyboard transmitting on Midi Channels 17-32. And the Nord just playing sounds from the Nord (obviously the Nords External Controler Section will be turn OFF in this scenario).
This is to enable me to have the choice of playing both devices (ie.the EMU and the Nord) from the Nord (ie. Layered). Or to play the Nord in isolation with my left hand, and the EMU in isolation with my right hand (via the dummy controler keyboard). For instance, left hand piano on the Nord while playing right hand synth-lead on the controler keyboard (EMU).
WILL THIS WORK ????????? Or is it not possible ??
Ta,
Paul
