I cant get the thing to work tho, i can use the Utility it comes with but i cant get peak 4.0 or Spark 2.8 to recognize my emu platinum. Is there something im missing or should i return this thing and get a pci card?

Same here, and I'm on peak 4.1.1. Have you had any luck yet mate? I'm a full newbie to scsi anyway so I'm probably missing something. Any help would be much appreciated, it'd be cool to see this thing work.

i am using osx 10.2.8 and Peak, and i am able to do scsi transfers. i have a Belkin firewire>scsi converter going into my powerboook. works great. i am not sure if it works in panther though, that is why i don't plan on upgrading.

If you open System Profiler in OS 10.3, does the U2SCX show up on the SCSI bus, or the USB bus?... or both?

The product webpage states that the SCSI emulation mode for this device is Windows only.

Quoting:

The U2SCX has two different operation mode and switches automatically.
[USB mass storage mode]
With Microsoft standard Mass Storage class driver. Supports only one SCSI device per one U2SCX.
[SCSI emulation mode]
With RATOC original driver. Supports up to seven SCSI devices in daisy per one U2SCX. You must use this mode for image scanners, film scanners or other SCSI devices except mass storage devices.
*SCSI emulation mode is only for Windows.

Well, it sounds like it will be fine for ZoeOS on Windows, but maybe a problem running under OS X.
