E6400 ultra problem

Postby sebprada » Thu Mar 10, 2011 11:03 am

Hi all,

It's my first post on this board....but it's for a problem :)
I've recently bought an e6400 ultra with 128mo RAM, Adat card, Zip scsi, IDE hard drive...
The sampling section is ok, i can sample a sound, place him in a preset etc.... but when i try to save the preset on the hard drive or the zip, i get a "Fatal Error : Gen Trap error......" . Same for save a sample. I can't save something.
The only way to save is by the floppy drive.
I tried to reinstall the EOS 4.7, and after the 4.61. Nothing.
I bought new 2x 64 mo RAM EDO. The hard drive is new. Nothing happened.
I searched on the net, without success. PLease, can you help me ?
See the picture for the "Fatal error".
Thnks lot !!!!

Try saving to the floppy to eliminate the hard drives.

Do you have more than one SCSI device connected ?

Hi,

thanx for the reply. If i use the e6400, i want to use it with IDE hard drive or zip. but not with the floppy drive....
I have just one zip scsi. But now, he's not connected.

Can be also the Sleep-Modus. There are two . One for the System and one for the Hard-Disk.
If you build in a newer Scsi Devise , it can be that the Pin are lost or not supported. ( Sleep ).

If it is the Sleep-mode as MFPHouse assumes then enter DISK/BROWSE, remount drives and try to get the Info of your HD you want to save the bank to. This should disable the Sleep-mode.
IF this works, try to save your bank immediately to your HD.

Of course you should also try another HD to check if the error is related to the HD or to the EMU.
