any help would be great thanks
It's quite easy really.
This works for me - your milage may vary
For E4B banks you will need your E-Mu upgraded to 4.7, a scsi card in your PC and an external scsi drive of some variety - a Zip is perfectly adequate, I use a Jaz. You could also use an external hard drive.
- Make sure your sampler/computer and drive is turned off before you plug/unplug the drive. Always turn your drive on first before you turn your computer or sampler on. Always shut down your computer or sampler before you unplug a drive.
- With the scsi drive plugged into your sampler, format the external drive from your sampler using the FAT option
- With the scsi drive plugged into your computer, copy the E4B files to the scsi drive
- With the scsi drive plugged into your sampler again, browse the folders until you find your banks
- Load and enjoy!
Of course, the best thing would be to have a pair of Zip drives so you can just eject the disks - they go for nothing these days... I have one in my garage I'm going to dump in a skip because they don't fetch any money on eBay. If anyone wants it they can come and collect.
Also you can use this to transfer WAV files to your emu - just make a folder on your external drive, save your wav samples to it and follow the instructions in the manual.
For the disk images, use something like Nero or Imgburn to burn the image to a CD and then put it in a CDROM connected to the sampler.
