there is probably a good reason why people still use the old stuff. it beats learning the ends and outs of a program agian and again. i still have pro audio 8, and now cakewalk has sonar. but i really don't care, i find 8 does all i need for now, and as far as i am concerned i don't need to go anywere else

as for the internal sequencer. don't know. never used it. and why would you have to trigger out side of it? you should be able to use your sampler all by it's self. i know if i wanted, i could do all my work in cakewalk with out a keyboard. just draw in the notes and whatever. but the keyboard make things go faster. especialy for those that do all their sequencing real time. i still perfer step......

i think one time a few years ago, when i first got my sampler, i got stuck in the sequencer bit. took me a half an hour to get out of it. man talk about a learning curver.

good question though.. wonder if any one here has used the internal seq...

Couple of years ago... I was experimenting with a Live Pa & looking for a hardware sequencer to do the job (like a MPC2000). From what I remember....
You can save your midi files onto floppy & load them up in your EIV. So I took finished midi arrangements (made in Cubase) & it played the tracks back flawlessly. The problem I did run into... the sequencer didn't loop properly. It would glitch or gap between loops. So this failed the test for me as I planned to do the PA based on loops. I've used a mess of hardware sequencers & can honestly say, its not bad. But once you get spoiled looking at a nice big monitor, the idea of writing a tune on a tiny screen is ridiculous!

But for the hell of it you should try loading up your midi arrangements. Its a part of the machine you've never tapped. If anyone could figure out how to loop without glitching, I might reconsider using it.
